It does a good sales pitch for Cisco and makes some valid points. But it
depends on the site specific requirements. For example do you need advanced
features of an enterprise PBX ie splits, advanced vectoring etc then you go
with an Avaya or similar if not certainly the Cisco solution offers some of
the benefits stated. I definitely question the savings when you look at the
cost of the phones, licenses etc but another thing to consider is if the TDM
voice drops are in place or not since cabling costs on a large job can be
significant.

I assume that you're referring to Unified Communications or IPT, not
just VoIP. VoIP technically is just one application - voice over an
IP network.
