Hi can somebody please help me out.
I have searched the archives and nobody seems to have talked about this.
The DOC CD is very vague on this but I am trying to configure multicast in
the following scenario
R0 ------- R1 ------ R2 ------- R3
I have enabled IGP reachability between the routers with EIGRPv6 and have
enabled ipv6 multicast-routing on all routers.
R3 is joining group using
ipv6 mld join-group FF04::10
I am using R0 as a source but when I ping the group FF04::10, R1 and R2 are
pruning the traffic. R1's outgoing interface list is null.
Now from my ipv4 days this suggests that there is no source that
is interested in receiving traffic for the group. However I have joined the
group at R3
Can someone point me at what I am missing or doing wrong?
R1
(155:1:1::1, FF04::10), 00:00:05/00:03:23, flags: SPFT
Incoming interface: FastEthernet1/0
RPF nbr: FE80::C800:8FF:FEE8:1C
Outgoing interface list: Null
R2
(*, FF04::10), 00:32:51/never, RP 155:1:2::1, flags: SPC
Incoming interface: FastEthernet1/1
RPF nbr: FE80::C801:8FF:FEE8:1D
Immediate Outgoing interface list:
FastEthernet1/0, Null, 00:32:51/never
