Did you check for solar flares?

It would help "the list" help you if you included some configuration
and topology information in your cry for help.

- Maybe your ISP is blocking incoming telnet (tcp/23) connections? Try
a different port? (i.e. map port 5827 on the Linksys's WAN interface
to port 23 on your Cisco)
- Make sure your Cisco has its default gateway set to point at the
Linksys (Turn on some debugs on the Cisco to see if it's actually
receiving the connection request)
- Make sure there is no ACL on the Cisco's vty lines that is blocking access
- Make sure there is no ACL on the Cisco's Ethernet interface that is
blocking access

I seriously doubt there is anything about your hardware setup that
needs to be swapped to make this work.

cheers,
Dale
