It should count, give it time. Sometimes it takes up to 10days for
cisco to update their database.
AFAIK, the first written exam you take in the 2-year window to your
recertification date counts.

If your CCIE should expire in July 2011, the first written exam you
take from July 2009 should extend it to July 2013, then no other
written exam counts till July 2011.

If you find anything different in your case, I suggest you open a case
with support (after 10 days).
