Hi,

You dont need igmp join to do it, you only need to activate it on the switches or routers with ip multicast routing and ip pim sparse-dense mode.

Informacast server send notifications to Cisco IP phones using multicast.

Anyone knows how the igmp join is activated on the phone. It is not like
music on hold since the notification is unsolicited.
