Exactly, I 100% agree. I'm sure this is gonna be bad for the integrity of
the exam. One of the very good things was that the exam took place on cisco
campus. I'm quite sure that this will be the start for all the braindump
companies getting the real exam stuff to sell...
Come on guys, stop talking about the travelling cost stuff, I'm very sure
this is definitely not the reason why cisco did it. To me, the main reason
for them is to have more seats, to get more candidates through it and to
make more money out of it. To me, it turns out that they just want to do
more money.
For some candidates it might be good to be closer to the lab, yes, I agree
but at the end it does not help that you get your number and it is nothing
worth anymore...
Additionally, how should that work with the proctor? Will there be Cisco
proctors there? I don't think so. The proctor is a very important and also
very good resource on the lab exam. Even if there might be a virtual
proctor, this is definitely not the same.
Sure, no one will (officially) agree with what I've said above, they have to
say that everything is nice, no problem with the integrity blablabla, as
usual.
In my opinion, it is the most important thing to keep the level, status of
the CCIE. It must be dammed hard to get it and there should be no change to
get it "braindumped". This is what makes the success of the CCIE program
over the last years, everyone knew how hard it is to get it. If that gets
lost, cisco will also loose in the long term approach but hey, who cares
nowadays about a long term approach? Just make as much money as possible in
a short time...
To me, this is a very bad step..

Absolutely! A big part of maintaining the integrity of this exam has been
due to Cisco keeping it in their offices. All it will take is one dodgy VUE
location filming the exams and its all over. Not really being negative here,
just factual. If people want proof all they need to do is look at the MCSE
program.
