That will give me native vlan mismatch .On R1 its vlan 10 and on R2 its vlan
20.

the trunk is dot1q the native vlan on dot1q isn't tagged. so on the
switch you can change the native vlan there and then you will be on
the same vlan and the IP's will be able to connect.

that's one possibility.
