We've been a Cacti shop for years. Product works great. We just integrated
Solarwinds backup into our architecture last year and NPM is going in this
year. Either product (NPM or Cacti) would serve you well.

Maybe overkill but just a suggestion. Engineers toolset may suit better.

Definately worth checking out.
