The interface is very different from GUI standpoint. 6.1 supports multiple
virtual sensors, Anomaly detection, and a few other things. Enough that not
using it would make a shortcoming for you.

If you do rack rental for the IPS I think that would be the best way to do
it considering the steep price tag to buy a 4240. You can check out
proctorlabs.com if interested in looking at our topology. We do use the new
IPS in our racks.
