Unfortunately most datacenters (Equinix) don't allow you to have ANY UPS or Batteries in your rack for fear they could overheat and leak.

If your datacenter is having power issues, it's probably time to move.

your power.

If you sustain a harmonic convergence (which I'm pretty sure went out in
the 60's with significant usage of recreational pharmaceuticals) your
UPS will let you know about it and you will likely not have any problems.

In the meantime, the problem is that issues like that are harder to
track down even for people who've been doing it a while! Unless it's
blatant it may be hard to prove. Is all your equipment UL rated?
Should be. :)

Anyway, isolation is the simplest answer. When the UPS (again, good
quality, known vendor (I like APC personally)) complains, it's much
simpler to point fingers and say "fix it".
