Yes you can. U'd only need to open required ports, gre or isakmp and esp.

Subject: DMVPN from Router through ASA
Hello Group,
I have a Cisco router a 3845 and I was wondering if I have an ASA 5510 on
the outside of that between the Router and the internet. Can I pass the DMVPN
between the router and the internet through the ASA?
Thanks,
James
