If you boot a router in GNS than you got your BGP support, but not a single PIX or ASA image will allow you to configure BGP (even in GNS, as it's running actual images).

RIP, OSPF and EIGRP is no problem on the ASA, except you can't use multiple context mode anymore. (in Multi context mode the routing protocols can't be configured)
