RE: OT: Anyone pass V4 lab exam?

Sure. It's absolutely possible. But we go thru dry spells like this every
time the lab changes. It takes time to adjust. The folks that have been to
the new lab for the most part seem to feel it is passable. It's just a
different approach. Throw out "core" and know everything. That doesn't
sound like the folks that have been to the lab think Cisco screwed up. It
sounds like they think the test is just different (and harder) from the
previous approach. Have you been to the new lab yet? I have not. I try to
weed thru the garbage and get the real opinions from the folks that have
actually been there. That is the way I see things right now.

Dude. Are you reading what you wrote? "The exam is too hard. You should
wait until it is easier." Maybe you should ask Cisco to put that at the
bottom of your cert in big font. What's your number? I don't have a number
yet. I've failed the exam. Dog cussed Cisco and every vendor whose products
I PAID FOR and then went back and started studying more. The last thing I
want is for Cisco to make it easier. Broaden your horizons Paul. I may not
have a CCIE tattoo one day but I will have some pride in getting my
number....

You should wait to take the CCIE R&S lab exam. The lab has not changed
since
it has come out. No one has passed it. The Cisco guy in charge of the R&S
content, Maurilo Gorrito, is no longer with Cisco. No one is working on
making changes to the exam so that it is passable. Wait until Cisco starts
making changes and it becomes passable.

Agreed, and definitely a good case for 'build in notepad first, paste
once verified' - it's easy to get muddled up with all those switching
commands, especially in a larger full mesh arrangement.

cheers,
