It's an option. You could use the 8 porters.
That's $2k list. If you are a partner and do NFR you are 60-70% off. So
now you are at ~$3k.
Full labs just a few years ago cost $10k-15k. So, quit crying :)
One thing I find interesting is how people expect the cost to obtain such a
difficult cert to be next to free. That attitude has definitely changed
over the years.
If Cisco would change this back into an enterprise cert (and not SMB) it
would be very expensive.
I hope Cisco puts all high end gear on the test to ensure people have to go
back to spending at least $15k on a real home lab just like many of us have
done! :)
But hey, guess what? No one is asking you to get the cert.
