I have tried them on the 8 porters. So, the 12s should work fine. If you go
to download the IPS code for the 12 porter, itbs there.
Just like the 8 porter, the marketing is messed up on the 12s for IPS.

Have you tried enhanced feature set - IP Services software feature set (IPS)
on it?
As long as I know its a compact switch and only supports IP Base software
feature set (IPB) - however I can remember that in the download section
there's an enhanced version available... someone has to test it if it
works...
