It's performs real time DPI and has GUI in which you can define
policies. It's transparent, i.e. there is no requirement for any
client-side configuration or redirection. Drawback is that it sits in
the traffic path. While they are rock solid and have hardware passive
bypass, some people are uneasy about it. All in all NetEnforcer is
decent device - direct competitor to Cisco's Service Control Engine.

They don't like asymmetric routing, though... Allot ( :-) ) of false
positives in that case.

I've been running them for a couple of years.
