Guys,
look at this from a different angle.

None of CCIE tracks was build with home lab option in mind, it just
turned this way over a decade of its life. Many professional
certification paths in other industries are meant to be taken only after
a certain (and sometimes quite extensive) hands-on experience. We had a
luxury of cheap gear and then Dynamips emerged making things almost
virtual. A real life has a right to have its own turn... :-)

A compare begs to be made of CCIE developments in 2005-2009 with .NET
bubble.
