Hello,
I know I can limit a traffic in a router but now my boss my job is to limit a
traffic from a customers which has a server in a Cisco2960G, I want to limit
to 30M.
I have tried 3 ways :
1.-
am-tv(config-if)#max-reserved-bandwidth ?
<1-100> Max. reservable bandwidth as % of interface bandwidth
<cr>
am-tv(config-if)#
2.-
am-tv(config-if)#storm-control unicast level ?
<0.00 - 100.00> Enter rising threshold
bps Enter suppression level in bits per second
pps Enter suppression level in packets per second
am-tv(config-if)#
3.-
am-tv#sh policy-map
Policy Map EZC
Class class-default
police 30000000 40000 exceed-action drop
am-tv(config)#int gi0/14
am-tv(config-if)#service-policy input EZC
My idea is to implement the 3th one since I gues this is the better way to
limit to 30Mbps. The issue is that when I send traffic thru the port, I do not
see traffic match when I display with : "am-tv#sh policy-map interface
gigabitEthernet 0/14" command.
Let me know if some of you were able to make this work, if you have a
configuration example for the 3rth case, please send a unicast mail .
My IOS :
am-tv#sh ver | in IOS
Cisco IOS Software, C2960 Software (C2960-LANBASEK9-M), Version 12.2(44)SE2,
RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc2)
am-tv#
Thanks a lot,
Regards
