For many people in IT "network" does not necessary mean routing. Active
Directory, LDAP, NFS or Exchange are often considered as networks. I had a
job interview for a "network admin" position while they were primarily
looking for Linux experts and routing was only "nice to have".

Koodos to that little kid that is awesome. But, I do think it is funny that
they say an MCSE or whatever can "manage complex office networks."
Well...maybe the servers but put most mcse in front of a router or switch
that isn't 3COM and most of them crumble hehe
