All,
I have my CCIE racks with couple of 2600's. I will be replacing them with
2600XM's.
- I was wondering what's the meaning of XM?
- Also, how would I know for sure as what Cisco IOS mainline features are
supported in 2600XM vs 2600?
Q. What is the difference between the Cisco 2600XM platforms and the older,
non-XM platforms?
A. The
new Cisco 2600XM models are based on the previous Cisco 2610-51 Series
platform design and configuration, but extend the performance as much
as 33% and increase memory capacity as well as increasing the default
memory when compared to the previous Cisco 2610-2651 platforms,
including support for Cisco IOS mainline features. This new XM
functionality provides the same proven technology of the previous Cisco
2610-51 platforms, with additional benefits and the same cost effective
solution pricing.
