I think perhaps it is just as likely that the stars had lined up against
you, or your aura was not in proper alignment... Whose FAULT is is
that someone failed the lab? Where is a mirror when you need one? I
think you'll find that in any bootcamp (I can only speak with more
direct knowledge about Internetwork Expert and IPexpert products) or
materials that you will find all of the information necessary.
Now whether you remembered it, or picked up on it, that's a whole
different issue. This is the difference between knowing configurations
and knowing technologies. If you truly know the technologies, it won't
make a difference what method they're presented on the lab. If you just
know configurations, then when the real lab you get doesn't match up
with something done in a practice lab, you don't have a clue what to do,
and feel that the materials were incomplete.
It's not about configurations. Know the technology and the
configurations will come. Use the tools to build your own skills.
Don't rely on the tools to do all the work for you.
Hard work was never easy.
