Took 640-60x exams for the CCNP, individual exams rather than the
composite. Have never let the CCNP expire so had not realised I would need
to resit any of the individual exams. A little strange if need to retake
those while still holding valid CCNP & CCIE.

So to achieve a design qualification it seems I can skip one of the two
component design exams, but need to take a revised version of a
configuration exam I've already passed. While had I passed the older
versions of the CCNP exams I would be a man of leisure. Clearly the
technologies used in my day are out of fashion, while anything new or retro
is very much in style this season.

Well Alexei, you may have to do one less exam in Australia, but at least we
have the weather here in Ireland. In fact we have buckets full of it again
today :).
