I think you need to know the protocols very well before you can effectively
troubleshoot. So the reason we added some Switching or L2 stuff in the
troubleshooting labs is because we know you can get yourself in trouble in
the configuration section, and if you did not have an exposure to that kind
of stuff, you would not know what to do when you run into a problem. I
believe that the configuration section has its built-in troubleshooting as
well, because you have to verify and sometimes test what you configured.
