Hello,
Just trying to be ready for what it looks to be the next wave of technology.
I just recently passed my voice lab and still have the bug inside me about not
wanting to stop studying. It feels weird but I really like to learn new
stuff, Still...
Cisco (At Networkers) and other vendors (Meru) are projecting a big increase
in the wireless field and as an example, it was almost 10 years ago when I
heard for the first time the reference to AVVID. Back then Cisco was putting
their money on the AVVID technologies and they were not wrong. Now
everything is Wireless, Wireless, no more specific requirements for wired
networks. Now the requirements are we need 802.11/b/g/n/WiMax/PDAs with
Broadband wireless cards all over the place (or Point to point bridges,
schools and hospitals use that a lot trying to save money on WAN Links),
between 8:00 and 5:00 PM, but the visitors area can only have wireless access
between 11:00 and 3:00 and by the way we need it to be fast, secure and
reliable. Ok...!
It will be interesting to see how this moves along for the next 10 years.
JoJo
