The headhunters posting recruitment ads like CCIE Certified Checkpoint
Expert needed.
The training companies taking anyone who will say they used their materials.
Lack of verification by anyone.

The easiest way to get a CCIE righ now is just to tell two or three
training companies you used them to pass, give them a testimonial, and
presto you are a CCIE. A quick google search said you are. Just hijack
the someones number who does not advertise or better yet change your
name to that of a CCIE.
