Rodrigo,

I can't explain the negative numbers, but I was trying to gather if you running in full-duplex 32gbps stackwise or 16. What's your output on show switch stack-ring activity detail?

Ryan,

The IOS of my 4 switches in stack are 12.2.25SEE2 => 3750-24G
The command " show switch stack-ring speed" is not available.
Can you tell me why the values are negative for me?

Thanks
Rodrigo

Rodrigo,

What version of code are you running? What is the output from the following
commands:

show switch stack-ring speed

Stack Ring Speed : 32G
Stack Ring Configuration: Full
Stack Ring Protocol : StackWise

show switch stack-ports
  Switch # Port 1 Port 2
  -------- ------ ------
    1 Ok Ok
    2 Ok Ok
    3 Ok Ok
    4 Ok Ok
    5 Ok Ok

show switch stack-ring activity

Sw Frames sent to stack ring (approximate)
------------------------------------------------
1 3054728688
2 2967790152
3 1725338565
4 1717715997
5 1996841958
6 2330025942
7 1937254349
8 1132789960
9 1229063481

Total frames sent to stack ring : 18091549092

This is from a 9 switch stack, as you can see none of the values are
negative. To answer your question though, it shows the frame count between
stack members.

Subject: 3750 stack problem?

Guys,

I don4t find about this in CISCO documentation:

- What does the command switch stack-ring activity show?

I have had problems of performance (slow access of stations and servers) in
this network with 4 switches 3750 in stack.

The 4 switches 3750 in stack are the CORE of this network.

Can does this command show me something?

Can you translate it to me? Why is it negative in switch 2 and 3?

Can I show a problem below? Can you suggest another command to find some
problem?

=============================================

3750-A# sh switch stack-ring activity

Switch Frames sent to stack ring (approximate)

------------------------------------------------

1 1731761798

2 -1942640275

3 - 959699416

4 28835091

Total frames sent to stack ring : -1141742802

Note: these counts do not include frames sent to the ring

by certain output features, such as output SPAN and output

ACLs.

Thanks
