Maybe QOS markings, ip routing information, etc. For example, with qos,
instead of using acls with a log command to see what value is
hitting/incrementing, you could use wireshark to look at the ip header
and cull out the ip prec/dscp markings. This would ensure your policy is
working without having to classify the traffic. There are lots of other
things you can do with wireshark to help in your learning the
technologies. STP processes, routing updates, mcast, etc. There are a
lot of different tutorials out there for wireshark as well.
