i have a 2801 router, and i tried to get the traffic history on from the interface counters using the " show interface command "

C2801-INT#sh int fa0/1 | inc packets
  5 minute input rate 180000 bits/sec, 121 packets/sec
  5 minute output rate 1237000 bits/sec, 148 packets/sec
     1807485647 packets input, 4267040170 bytes
0 input packets with dribble condition detected
     2039691484 packets output, 2256843793 bytes, 0 underruns

but comparing the values i got today with what i had yesterday
i found that it was less than yesterdays value, so i was wondering about the behavior of these counters
is it cumulative or what ??

hope you got my point
Regards
