Some thoughts / answers:
1) Not sure if there is a better way, but for me I remove the vtp configs,
delete vlan.dat file and reload.
2) A lot of discussions in the past over this one. See this link for more
info on VLAN 1 and when / why the switches uses this vlan. (watch the ugly
word wrap with this link)
After you go through the link some, please respond with some questions.

3) This is a great test and one that I suggest you lab up. Watch the error
messages and remember these ... ;-)
