Frog, please accept my sincere apologies if memory is failing me here,
but wasn't it you who said he was going to open a support case with
Cisco to get a definitive answer on this subject and then post back to
the group? I know that someone did a handful of months back but then
did not, in fact, follow up with any results. I attributed that to
the circulation around that same time of an article where Cisco
discussed stripping the digits of anyone knowingly engaging in this
sort of arrangement - without regard for any border considerations.
If anyone has direct knowledge of any individual or reseller cheating
the system in this way, you are highly encouraged to report it to the
same e-mail address that you report NDA violations to
(tipline_at_cisco.com). Cisco's legal team/brand protection group *will*
take swift and decisive action.
