Multicast Need understanding..

Can some one please brief me about access- list usage in multicast???

Just for Eg :

Q. Configure PIM Sparse-Dense Mode and Auto-RP throughout the
OSPF domain with R2 as the RP for groups 224.0.0.0/5 and R4 as
the RP for groups 232.0.0.0/5. R5 should be the Mapping Agent.

ip pim send-rp-announce Loopback0 scope 16 group-list 1
!
access-list 1 permit 224.0.0.0 7.255.255.255

I didnt understand , the above wildcast mask , For eg, If we want to use
224.0.0.0/12 What wildcard mask need to configure ..

Please put some lights :-)
