RE: How do you develop speed?

Correct, I hardly ever use the tab key. On some commands 3 to 5 letters
is enough for the IOS to correctly parse what you have entered.

Just curious since I have never used the tab key on IOS...what's the
point? If you've typed enough for IOS to correctly parse what you're
after, can't you just move on at that point without hitting tab? Is
it just a "feel good" feedback type of thing? I can see the value of
that for someone lacking confidence on the CLI but not really for a
serious CCIE candidate...
