I personally made so many mistakes getting where I am now in my studies
that I think I've become a decent troubleshooter. :-D

I don't think troubleshooting can be learned from a book, in the Army I
had tons of techs working for me that thought they could read a
book/Tech Manual and learn to troubleshoot problems. It's not about
flow charts and guess work, its about understanding the fundamentals and
knowing how to "bisect/dissect" the environment till you find the
problem. That kind of thing can only come with practice.

Tools:

INE has a sample section from their troubleshooting workbook on their
website, IPexpert is working diligently on theirs as I understand it.
If your using Narbik he will be releasing his volume 3 of the 2.0
Workbooks soon and it has a troubleshooting lab included. So find a
tool that works with what ever topology you are training on or like
most. I have a friend I'm studying with and we make labs for each other
to troubleshoot (that works well for us).

I recently heard that Narbik is going to be releasing a Mock Lab
Workbook with 10 troubleshooting labs in like four weeks or so, but I
haven't heard any formal though.
