Indeed always keep the key number equal on both sides! Even it may not be
required in some IOS versions, I would just always do it, do overcome any
possible issues.
Key chain name doesn't matter for any protocol, but for clearification and
less stress during the lab I would always configure the same key chain name.
Also use the routing protocol name in there, for example name your keychains
RIP or RIPAUTH. That way you have a very clear view on which keychain has
which purpose on all routers.
