Re: Passed

I didn't start with the written until v3.0 was just days old (summer
2007). I had always been told that the written was just a filter to
keep those with absolutely zero chance of passing the lab from
needlessly occupying seats - a real push-over of an exam. I have no
idea what any of the v1.x or v2.x tests were like, but I have always
been challenged by v3.x and was likewise challenged by the v4.0 beta,
which I doubt I passed (had to rush through too much towards the end
to give serious thought to a fairly significant swath of the exam). I
know when I am eligible to recertify in early 2010 I will not take
preparations lightly.

I doubt we'll ever see the lab as a requirement for recert (way too
expensive for those of us who don't live near a lab location and just
way too disruptive to life in general), but I wouldn't be surprised to
see more config and troubleshooting by way of simulator (or even
remote access) at some point down the line. Or perhaps separate exams
for lab qualification and recertification. Who knows? Cisco has
certainly shown that they don't plan to just sit back on their laurels
and let this thing sink into irrelevance...
