Experts,

I passed my lab exam in San Jose on September 21st on my first attempt. I
had passed the written back in April of 2008. It was almost my 18 month
deadline so I had booked my lab exam on September 21st right before Cisco
announced the Ver.4 changes. I used the INE workbooks volume 1,2, and 3 and
used them in that order. After using volume 3, I went back over volume 1 a
second time.

First on the open ended questions. I did not use any thing to study for the
open ended questions. I just went in to the lab with the knowledge I had
gained throughout my career and studying and passed them. I did not rush
through them I took all of the time given to me to answer them.

During the lab, I had finished my lab in 6 hours. I used the last hour and
a half to go back and review the entire lab. Good thing I verified. I
found a couple of critical mistakes and had to go back and fix them. I left
the lab 30 minutes early as I had already finished, verified, and there was
nothing else to do.

When I got back to the hotel I went to have dinner and 2 hours after leaving
the lab I had received an email from Cisco stating that my score report was
ready. I almost had a heart attack at the hotel restaurant. I left the
restaurant without finishing my dinner and immediately logged in the website
and there it was. My number 25482. It was the greatest feeling in the
world.

I would like to thank God, the INE team for putting out great material, my
wife and kids for being so patient with me as I studied all those late
nights, and for all those that post questions and responses on group study.

Not sure what to do next. I have my CCVP and have been working with VoIP
for 3+ years. But then I feel I have a hole that needs to be covered
(MPLS). Either way I am going to take a small break in between my studies
and give my wife and kids some dad time.

Thanks,
Rodolfo Beltran
