OT: EtherChannel Hash

All,
I am using src-dstn IP based Load balance scheme for L2 ether-channels on my
swithces.

I have two ports and four ports L2 ether-channels and trying to verify
hashing algorithm on cisco 65K and 3560 switches.

I thought I would take first bit of source IP & dstn IP for a two ports
channel, get the XOR and findout the port that should be selected but when I
choose destination IP octect beyond 100 then distribution does not look as
per my understanding. Same thing with the 4 ports channel. I am using test
etherchannel command.

I do "test etherchannel load-balance interf port-ch 1 ip 192.168.1.1
192.168.1.100" I change only last octet of destination address.

Can any one explain if I am missing some concept here please?
