Right now a CCDE is equivalent to a CCIE for meeting channel
requirements. Not everyone works for a partner and not everyone
pursues a cert solely because of the financial benefits. I just want
to be a certified network designer at the expert level. With that
said, you make a valid point about the Architect cert (that
technically doesn't even exist yet), but I think you can expect the
channel requirements to change over the next few years (so I hear).
Thanks,
Ronnie
