I'd also like to add that it appears 0.0.0.0/32 will NOT match the default
route either...

R2(config-router)#do sh run | s ospf 1
router ospf 1 vrf VRF1
 log-adjacency-changes
 network 2.2.2.2 0.0.0.0 area 0
 network 100.100.12.2 0.0.0.0 area 0
 network 100.100.200.2 0.0.0.0 area 0
 *default-information originate always

*R1(config-router)#do sh ip route vrf VRF1 | i 0.0.0.0
Gateway of last resort is 100.100.12.2 to network 0.0.0.0
100.0.0.0/8 is variably subnetted, 6 subnets, 2 masks
*O*E2 0.0.0.0/0 [110/1] via 100.100.12.2, 00:01:45, FastEthernet0/0.12

*R1(config-router)#distribute-list prefix foo in
R1(config-router)#do sh ip route vrf VRF1 | i 0.0.0.0
     100.0.0.0/24 is subnetted, 1 subnets*

*So we can see here, that before applying the prefix-list we successfully
added the default-route to the RIB and after applying the prefix-list that
permits 0.0.0.0/32 we do not.

HTH!
