Basically what the command does globally is says "if you enable portfast on
an interface, also turn on bpduguard." The reason is because if you have
portfast turned on an interface it is generally also a good candidate to be
running bpduguard. In other words, it doesn't connect to any kind of switch
ideally, so IF you get a BPDU on the port, something is generally happening
that should not be.
The command does NOT automatically put bpduguard on an interface...only if
you already have enabled portfast. check the command ref.
