Its really tough to accept the failure, but he is right and no one is
going to complain GS ,GS is great resource for CCIEs but the thing is
these OEQs are really unpredictable , you did not know what Cisco
expecting you to write down there with in half an hour, well its all
about LUCK , if some is going even 4th time then we don't have to say
that he did not have core knowledge. If it happened with any one, I know
he will be frustrated.

Thanks GOD Cisco is going to end this rubbish.

p
lease dont give up! As Narbik said you may be as good as a CCIE and not
all CCIEs can be as good as you!

I am sure OEQ is a big WALL that we need to get through.. TDuring my
second attempt , i had just 3 months prepared ONLY for OEQ , reading the
boring DOC CD and going through Jeoff Doyle once more!

It give more insight when you read again these tech articles, but real
patience is erquired especially if you have crossed 28..For me my wife
and kid suffers due to my CCIE prep..And when you say to them its for
their goodness, they may not accept such long term preps!

What I think of my failure is that i took it in a positive way , telling
myself its good to learn MPLS and SP track! So now I have dual targets!
Already learnt RS and new version of RS which covers many items in SP..

That's an interesting comment. How many times did you take it and when?

Are you considering the lab is easier based on? Your level? Or the
content
is really easier (for example going from complex OSPF situations to 1 VL
LOL)?

For what it's worth, I totally agree. Having had a similar experience
of
passing the lab but not the OEQs, I'm not inclined to taking it again
until
the OEQs are gone.

Also, considering that (based on my experience) the lab portion is
actually
a lot easier now than it was before the OEQs were added, I personnally
do
not look at someone with a CCIE in the 24000+ range as having
accomplished
nearly as much as those with numbers below 24000. 21% of their
accomplishment is based on them being able to answer 3 out of 4 'easy'
questions. Not exactly a testament to their expertise IMO. Those who
pass
should feel a little cheated too.
