For plain-text authentication, there is no default key. So you must
define something.
And the commands are the same for virtual links, except instead of being
an "interface" command, they are part of the virtual-link command set.
area 1 virtual-link 1.1.1.1 authentication
area 1 virtual-link 1.1.1.1 authentication-key cisco
