The draft for mpls-ldp sync was only put out December of last year...
So the first thing I'd look at is whether the JUNOS release you are
using supports it or not.
The other thing I'd look at is whether you're using standard LDP
(router-id as source) or transport/interface address for binding.
Because the LDP Sync process looks at the peers' address and whether
it's out the same interface or not from what I've read (haven't played
with it).
So those are the first two things I'd look at! Black holes (at least
unplanned ones) aren't particularly cool. :)
But the fact that OSPF isn't coming up tells me it's an unsupported
capability on the version of JUNOS that you are using.
