I think what your looking for is the 'why' in the configuration thats showing
SSO mode. You can't remove the redundancy command (try it, type no redundancy
or no mode sso after entering redundancy mode).

Your wondering why it says SSO mode if there is only one Sup720 and how to
configure it properly for the single supervisor. The answer is, its properly
configured as the default that it is. If you go and do as some have suggested
which is to configure RPR mode then when/if you ever do put a supervisor in
that 2nd Sup will sync up with RPR and I'm *pretty* sure you'd rather have two
720s in SSO mode from the start.

In short for a single 720 in a 6500 chassis there will always be that config in
there in anticipation of the 2nd Sup720 that may or may not ever come.

When/if you ever do get a second supervisor you either leave this same default
or you add other items like syncing the running config which I personally do
given that in an SSO failover you'd want the running config to be the same.
