Subject: Re: CCIE salary in Pakistan

I absolutely agree with Asif, all over IT in pakistan prefers experience
over certifications and frankly many dont know what difference it brings to
an individual. In terms of salary, things are really worse, forget about
promotions even the raise is nonimal and sometimes non. There is so much
uncertainity that no one is willing to switch and everyone is just
serviving.

But friends this is what economic life cycle all about. If you are at the
downfall, you will soon rise, for which you have wait. There wont be another
downfall after this one. there is no time frame but one can only predict may
be by the end of this year or start of next year somewhere, things will
change. We are the one who can bring changes, by thinking and
talking positively. Lets just dont sit idle on our jobs, utilize our time in
learning and preparing for a better future that is waiting for us. let us
not loose hope.

As furrkh said, discussing situation of Pakistan on a public plateform like
GS will bring no good. Instead this will bring disgrace to our country and
our dignity. I believe our CCNAs, CCNPs and CCIE's are not less efficient
and knowledgeable then in other countries. The only difference between us
and them turns out to be complaining about our position and amount of money
we are earning. The subject of this email is the proof, its directly
concerned with money.

For Ahmed, i would say, identify your skills and make your resume according
to it. Unfortunately in Pakistan connection works, and hiring in most cases
are done on PR. i suggest you to start using linkedin if you are not using
it already and talk to people and make connections. Get your resume Analysed
may there is a flaw in it or may be you are not throughing it into right
companies. Dont get dishearted because God helps those wait and pray.
