I thought that would be the case too, but it unconditionally reloads.

Rack1R1(config-kron-occurrence)#do show run | s kron
kron occurrence reload at 14:07 oneshot
 policy-list reload
kron policy-list reload
 cli rel

Rack1R1(config-kron-occurrence)#in lo 1
Rack1R1(config-if)#ip add 1.1.1.1 255.255.255.0

Rack1R1(config-if)#do show kron sch
Kron Occurrence Schedule
reload inactive, will run once in 0 days 00:00:02 at 14:07 on

After reload:

Rack1R1#show run in lo 1
                       ^
% Invalid input detected at '^' marker.

This has a different behavior than rel, which forces the choice:

Rack1R1#reload in 120

System configuration has been modified. Save? [yes/no]: no
Reload scheduled in 2 hours by console
Reload reason: Reload Command
Proceed with reload? [confirm]

I was thinking the same thing based off the OP's question. I figured the kron policy-list needed a cli .13 (which is supposed to be carriage return), but I couldn't get that to work and discovered it would reload without it.
