I have a question based on mutual redistribution between 2 EIGRP AS .I was
reading,blind redistribution between 2 EIGRP process(AS) may cause routing
loops.I am trying to understand a possible scenario that may happen.
I am assuming the scenario to have only one mutual redistribution point,as
below
R1 --*EIGRP AS 10*---R2 -*EIGRP AS 20*---R3 ---*RIPV2*---R4
R2 is doing mutual redistribution between EIGRP AS 10 and EIGRP AS 20.R3 is
redistributing RIPV2 into EIGRP AS 20.Will there be any routing loops in the
above topology.
I am assuming EIGRP 10 routes going to AS 20 will not return back and
similarly the other way.Also assuming for RIPV2 routes redistributed into
eigrp 10 will not return back to AS 20.If that is not right,kindly correct
me.
So trying to understand a looping scenario which would be possible when we
do mutual redistribution between 2 EIGRP AS process on the same router.
Kindly help me to understand .
