Gary,

Maybe OEQ is not fair game. However is the rule. You should pass the OEQ
question in order to get CCIE certification, after my first attempt I was
very nervous because I didn't know if my answer were totally correct. But I
did the Cisco suggestion: keep it simple! only two or three lines. I
remember that in one question I put only three words. For my second attempt
I decide to teach the core network technologies totally free!!! (OSPF, RIP,
BGP, Switching, etc). during many hours I explained to no-trained students
about the tech it was hard but very useful. Sometimes I wasn't able to
explain one tech... I had to review my books, and explain.. days after if
you asked me about OSPF frame-relay issues (it's an example just in case) I
was able to explain with my own words. After second attempt I was very sure
that I did at least 4/4 in OEQ section, my answers were clear and concise. I
don't know if I did 4/4 but I passed the exam.

Rgds.
