there are two types of proxying : Explicit and Transparent. WCCP uses the
transparent method where users do not need to modify the proxy setting. The
router running WCCP will intercept web traffic or any defined service and
redirect it to the proxy. One advantage that i like about WCCP that of the
proxy is down, the operation wont be affected and traffic will be sent
without a proxy. Note that there are two versions of WCCP v1 and v2.
