Hey Darby,

not sure why, but blogger.com says this blog does not longer exist
(10:40 PDT). I was able to read your post yesterday, though. Did you
leak some secrets there? :) I was particularly interested in that
"virtual switch" as it seems to be something different from the
well-known "Nexus 1000V". One thing that always bugs me about switch
"virtualization" is that they are so much hardware dependency so it's
almost impossible to simulate a "realistic" virtual switch without
ever emulating the hardware (e.g. PFCs, line card ASICs etc). Actually
this why we're getting all that pain dealing with different QoS
models/features in different platforms :) Using a "generic virtual
switch" such as 1000V is fine with virtual environment, but I was
really intrigued to see Cisco trying to do the same with "enterprise"
switching.
